Captain Harlock ( 宇宙海賊キャプテンハーロック , Uchū Kaizoku Kyaputen Hārokku , lit. Space Pirate Captain Harlock ) is a fictional character created by manga artist Leiji Matsumoto . Harlock is the archetypical romantic hero, a space pirate with an individualist philosophy of life.
